Senior Services

Senior Services of Hoke County is a non-profit county agency created to address the unique needs and concerns of the senior population and their care-givers within the county. Through advocacy, coordination with other human agencies and the provision a variety of home and community-based services, Senior Services of Hoke County helps older adults maintain healthy, active lives and remain independent in their own homes as long as possible.  Services provided include:

  1. Medical and general transportation,
  2. Nutrition programs; including senior lunch sites and home-delivered meals,
  3. In-Home Aide, both home management and personal care,
  4. Information/Referral/Case Assistance, and
  5. Home Repair & Improvement.

SHIIP – (Senior Health Insurance Information Program) assist seniors with their Medicare Part D enrollment and other Medicare Information.

MAP – (Medication Assistance Program) assists uninsured with medications.

Ensure – sold primarily on Wednesday, 8am-11am and 2pm -4:45pm

Arts and Crafts – Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Senior Room 12pm -2pm.

The Hoke County Senior Services Office is located at 423 E. Central Ave. in Raeford, NC.  The hours of operation are from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday thru Friday.

  • Senior Games – April 26 – May 4, 2010 Any Senior interested please call Senior Services at 910.875.8588  (Early Bird Registeration is $15 and ends March 12, 2010.  After March 12 – April 8, 2010 with fee being $18.  Deadline is April 8, 2010)
  • Mothers’ Day Celebration – Friday,May 7, 2010
  • Volunteer Appreciation Event – Friday, May 14, 2010 at 6:00 pm in the Senior Room
  • Father’s Day Celebration – Friday, June 18, 2010.
