Raeford, N.C. – The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on December 4, 2025, detectives with the Narcotic/Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU)-Criminal Interdiction Team were conducting a street level interdiction in the area of Red Springs Road, when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by Mr. Jimmie Earl Jacobs.
Detectives were able to establish probable cause to conduct a search of the vehicle. During the search detectives located a loaded .380 handgun and suspected cocaine. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Jacobs was a convicted felon.
Mr. Jacobs was placed under arrest and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center. Mr. Jimmie Earl Jacobs was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a convicted felon and Simple Possession of a Schedule II-Controlled Substance.
Mr. Jimmie Jacobs was taken before the magistrate and received no bond due to being out on pretrial release for unrelated charges.
