Raeford, NC - The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces on February 5, 2025, at approximately 1:30 A.M., Deputies responded to the 1800 Block of Balfour Rd., Red Springs, North Carolina, in reference to a larceny call for service. When Deputies arrived on scene, they were met by the victim who informed them that someone broke into the victim’s shed and stole three of his K-9’s. The victim’s sister looked outside and saw someone running through their yard carrying one of the K-9’s. The victim pursued the suspect and was able to restrain him until Law Enforcement arrived on scene. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for injuries sustained prior to Law Enforcement arrival. 

Once medically cleared, the suspect was transported to the Hoke County Detention Center and charged with (F) Breaking and/or Entering, (F) Larceny After B&E, and three counts of (F) Larceny of a Dog.
