The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on October 22, 2025, detectives with the Narcotic Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU) and Moore County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in the 100 block of Sandy Acres Mobile Home Park. The search warrant was obtained by Moore County regarding a felony larceny investigation.

While serving the search warrant a vehicle, which was included with the search warrant, had drug paraphernalia such as metal pipes and baggies, in plain view. The vehicle belonged to Mr. Charles J. Donnelly. Detectives searched the vehicle and found suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. Suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and additional items of paraphernalia were also located when a purse, belonging to Elizabeth A. Gingerich, was searched. Both subjects were arrested by the NVSU and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center. Ms. Gingerich and Mr. Donnelly were both charged with possession of a schedule I-controlled substance, possession of a schedule II-controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Gingerich received a $25,000 secured bond and Mr. Donnelly received no bond due to violating pre-trial release conditions. The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Moore County Sheriff’s Office for their involvement and looks forward to working together again in the future.
