The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at approximately 10:12 p.m., Deputies and Detectives along with the Fire Departments responded to the 2800 block of Kilkenny Drive for smoke within a residence. The victims arrived home, and the house was filled with smoke. Hoke County Emergency Management Fire Marshals and Moore County Public Safety with their K-9 responded to the scene. The K-9 alerted on an area and the incident is deemed intentional setting of a fire. No civilians were injured and no houses near the incident location were damaged during the incident. Red Cross did respond and meet with the victim. Investigation is on-going at this time.
