If the tag was transferred from the sold vehicle to another vehicle, the bill is due in full. If the tag has been submitted to the Department of Motor Vehicle License Plate Agency, the Tax Department needs to be notified along with a copy of a tag turn in receipt within 1 year and the bill may be prorated.
