The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on June 16, 2025, members of the Narcotics/Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU) along with general investigations served a search warrant at the 100 block of River Birch Road. The search warrant was obtained after members of the US Marshalls Fugitive Task Force located a robbery suspect, with active arrest warrants, at the residence. During a safety sweep of the home suspected narcotics and items of paraphernalia were seen in plain view.
During the search, detectives located suspected cocaine, suspected MDMA, marijuana, scales, spoons, packaging materials, and additional items of paraphernalia. NVSU, also located bulk US currency. Rodney Antuawn Forte was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver a Schedule-I controlled substance, maintain a dwelling for sell/delivery of controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia (not for marijuana).
Mr. Forte was transported to the Hoke County Detention Center where he was held on no bond due to being out on pretrial release for unrelated charges.
