The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, April 29, 2024, at approximately 9:10 P.M., Deputies and Hoke Emergency Medical Services responded to the 400 Block of Koppers Driver, Raeford, North Carolina, about an assault. When Deputies arrived on scene, it was determined that the suspect had fled the scene on foot. EMS arrived shortly after Deputies and began rendering aid to the victim. The victim appeared to have multiple lacerations to his person and EMS transported the victim to the hospital for further treatment. The suspect and victim are known to each other and the incident does not appear to be a random incident. Detectives were contacted and responded to the Hospital to speak with the victim. The investigation is still ongoing.
