The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at approximately 3:08 pm, Members of the Violent Crimes Task Force were attempting to apprehend a wanted person, Mr. Zyier McNeill. He was wanted for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill (2 counts) from a 2023 criminal case, and a Misdemeanor Flee to Elude and Resisting a Public Officer from a 2024 case.
Through investigations, Members of the VCTF were able to confirm a suspected location. Mr. McNeill was located and apprehended on 100 block of Applewood Lane, Raeford NC. During a search of the suspect, multiple kinds of suspected narcotics were located on Mr. McNeill including 42 dosage units of Tramadol, 6 dosage units of Oxycodone/Hydrochloride, 19 dosage units of suspected Morphine, two clear plastic bags with suspected Methamphetamine, two dosage units of acetamidine/oxycodone, and a plastic bag with suspected marijuana inside.
All Charges filed: Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill (2 counts), Flee to Elude Law Enforcement, Resisting Public Officer, Possession with Intent to Sell and Manufacture Schedule II (3 counts), Possession with Intent to Sell and Manufacture Schedule IV, Possession with Intent to Sell and Manufacture Methamphetamine, Simple Possession of Schedule VI, Possess Drug Paraphernalia, and Destruction of Criminal Evidence.
Mr. Zyier McNeill was given a $65,000.00 secured bond and is being detained at the Hoke County Detention Center.
