The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at approximately 06:50 a.m. Hoke County Sheriff's Deputy responded to the 8200 block of Fayetteville Road, about a larceny that already occurred. When the Deputy arrived on scene he spoke to the victim. The victim advised he had several items stolen. During an investigation, the suspect was identified as Shaquonte Headen.
On June 6, 2024, Shaquonte Headen was taken into custody by U.S. Marshalls without incident. Shaquonte talked with the Detective after Miranda Warning was waived. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and misdemeanor larceny. Shaquonte was given a 10,000.00 secured bond and detained at the Hoke County Detention Center.
