The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Deputies responded to the area of Fayetteville Road and Royal Birkdale Drive about shots being fired. Hoke County Emergency Communications provided a suspect vehicle description and stated that the victim’s vehicle was damaged by gunfire while following the suspects on Fayetteville Road. No injuries were sustained during this incident.
Hoke County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to locate the victim and suspect on Fayetteville Road. Deputies were able to get the suspect vehicle stopped near the 8400 block of Fayetteville Road and both suspects were detained without incident.
Both suspects, Jacobe Locklear and Reedy Locklear were taken into custody and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center. Reedy Locklear was charged with discharging a firearm into an Occupied Moving Vehicle, Assault with A Deadly Weapon, Felony Conspiracy, Break & Enter Motor Vehicle and given a $250,000.00 secured bond. Jacobe Locklear was charged with Break & Enter Motor Vehicle and Felony Conspiracy and given a $50,000.00 Secured bond.
