The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at approximately 4:42 pm, Deputies responded to 130 block of Douglas Avenue, Raeford in reference to a subject that was assaulted and robbed. The caller reported that victim was pistol whipped by three suspects. The victim was transported to First Health Hoke hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, sustained during the assault. Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were contacted and arrived shortly after to begin their investigation.
During the investigation, it was learned Mr. Robert McNeill was one of the three suspects involved. Mr. Robert McNeill was detained on scene and did not want to speak to Detectives about the incident. Mr. Robert McNeill was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. Due to the charges, Mr. Robert McNeill was given no bond. The investigation is on-going, and more charges and arrests are expected in case.
