The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on January 18, 2025, Deputies responded to the 4300 block of Blue Springs Road in reference to a male being shot. Deputies and Detectives arrived on scene. Life-saving efforts were attempted but unsuccessful. The deceased was identified as Mr. Nakia Ellison II. The next of kin was notified. It is believed a black male had shot the victim multiple times. No other civilians were injured. Investigation is on-going at this time.
