The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on, Sunday, February 18, 2024, Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 100 block of Cross Creek Drive, about a 911 Hang-up call. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim and observed physical injuries. The victim went to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies detained the suspect, Mr. McKyia Chavis, and took him into custody. Mr. McKyia Chavis was charged with AWDWISI (1 x felony count) and received no bond, due to the incident being domestic-related.
