On April 12, 2024, a narcotic search warrant was served at a residence located in the 400 block of Wayberry Lane, Red Springs, North Carolina. Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations has been conducting an active narcotics investigation of illegal narcotics, being sold from Wayberry Lane since January of 2024. The primary suspect identified during the investigation was Donald Ray Woods.
On April 12, 2024 members of the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Unit and Hoke County Sheriff’s Office served a narcotic-related search warrant at 450 Wayberry Lane. During the service of search warrant nine (9) subjects were located and detained.
After conducting a search of the premises, approximately 21 grams of methamphetamine, assorted items of paraphernalia including glass pipes and plastic baggies, two firearms, and a stolen camper were located. The camper was reported stolen out of Greensboro, NC in 2020.
Donald Ray Woods was arrested for possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule-II controlled substance, maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances, and possession of non-marijuana drug paraphernalia.
Dustin Dwayne Locklear was arrested on an outstanding warrant for possession of methamphetamine. Mr. Locklear was also charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver a schedule-II controlled substance, maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substances, and possession of non-marijuana drug paraphernalia and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Meegan Lena Hammonds was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. All subjects were transported to the Hoke County Jail and held on no bond, due to pending drug-related charges.
