On Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 12:13 a.m., Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 100 block of Peppertree Lane for a “Shots Fired” call. Deputies located multiple shell casings in the area. Although multiple people were involved, the suspect involved was not located and there were no reported injuries.
The investigation led to an arrest, of Cor'Darious Lamar Stephens on Monday, May 13th, 2024. He was arrested, taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Hoke County Detention Center. Cor’Darious Stephens was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Firearm by a felon and given no bond.
