Unsolved Cases
The Hoke County Sheriff's office instituted the Unsolved Homicide Division in 2023 as a means of diligently working towards a resolution for all of its cases. The Unsolved Homicides Division is part of the Hoke County Sheriff's Office Detective Division. The following list is comprised of cold case homicides only and does not include the other cold cases the Detective Division is currently working. This list will be updated as the Detective Division proceeds through the review of each cold case.
Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is used to bring justice to criminals and provide some peace to families who continue to mourn the loss of their loved ones. Resolving these cold cases and apprehending the criminals involved will also prevent them from committing future crimes.

MISSING PERSONS: Troy Lee Jacobs
Troy Lee Jacobs was last seen at a convenience store in Red Springs, North Carolina on February 26, 1996. He had ridden there from his girlfriend's house with a friend. He was seen getting into a black vehicle with more than one person in the car. Troy had expressed to his father earlier that evening that he was concerned for his safety. Foul play is suspected, and Troy has not been seen since. All searches for him have been unsuccessful. MISSING PERSONS: Roger Jerome Chambers
On Sept. 4, 2010, Roger Jermaine Chambers left his Raeford residence on Army Road in his 1993 green Toyota Camry. After visiting a friend in Red Springs, the 35-year-old Chambers allegedly continued traveling into Robeson County and has not been seen or heard from since. Nearly seven years later, it remains a missing person investigation. Over the years since Chambers went missing, the Sheriff's Office has followed multiple leads in the investigation. None have produced positive results, authorities said. The Sheriff's Office has provided information about the case to the North Carolina and National Missing Persons Center and other law enforcement agencies.
COLD CASES

HOMICIDE: Fabian Wilson
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at approximately 7:44 p.m., Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Detectives responded to the 200 block of Blue Road for a “Shots Fired” call. Two male victims had gunshot wounds. EMS transported both victims to local hospital for further treatment. Later today, one of the victims were pronounced deceased at the hospital. HOMICIDE: Keidra Lamar Reaves
The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office announces On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a Cardiac Arrest call at the 300 block of D Cunningham Lane in Hoke County.

India Hodges
On December 26th 2022, the body of India Hodges (01/16/1986) was found on the 200 block of Crooked Pine Lane. India was found shot and succumbed to her injuries. The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this Homicide. HOMICIDE: Erika Lavon McNatt
Sunday, June 21, 2020, at 3:54 am Hoke County Deputies were dispatched to 364 Gatlin Farm Road about a shooting. Erika Lavon McNatt was transported, by EMS, to Cape Fear Valley Main in Fayetteville, NC where she died from her injuries. Anthony Rayshon McLean and Jadelreontae Jamarquis Lamont Hobson were dropped off, at separate times by unknown persons, at First Health Hoke for gunshot wounds. HOMICIDE: Bryan Stuart Requena
On January 27, 2016, a murder occurred at North Old Wire Rd. and McGuougan Rd. Officers were dispatched at 7:58 pm. Once on the scene, officers found the 17-year-old victim, Bryan Stuart Requena face down on the ground. The investigation showed that he had been shot. Mr. Stuart lived in Sampson County. HOMICIDE: Keyon Lamar Reaves
On Friday, January 14, 2022, Hoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 140 block of Nevada Street about a shooting into an occupied dwelling. Upon arrival, Deputies located an unresponsive juvenile who was later pronounced deceased, and the other victims were not injured. Detectives were notified and arrived on scene. HOMICIDE: Madeline Harrington
Madeline Harrington and Easton R. Robinson Jr were shot in the area of Gatlin Farm Road, Raeford on October 16, 2021. Ms. Harrington had died due to her injuries and Mr. Robinson Jr was injured during the shooting. Hoke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for any information that can help solve Madeline Harrington’s homicide investigation and Easton Robinson Jr’s attempted homicide investigation. HOMICIDE: Harry Purcell

HOMICIDE: Jaquan Markeith Taylor
On May 08, 2021, Taylor was at a birthday party celebration which was at the Duffie Community Building located at the intersection of S. Old Wire Road, and S. Duffie Road. While at the celebration, gunfire erupted, and Taylor was struck. HOMICIDE: Anthony Davis
On June 22, 2022, Deputies with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of McGougan Road, which is located in the Lumber Bridge area of Hoke County, pertaining to a shooting. HOMICIDE: Jarel Isaiah Robinson
On June 22, 2022, Deputies with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of McGougan Road, which is located in the Lumber Bridge area of Hoke County, pertaining to a shooting. Homicide: Jeremiah Woods
On January 8, 2021 at approximately 9:10 p.m. Hoke County Deputies responded to Duffie Road near the Old Maxton Road intersection reference a drive by shooting. Once on the scene officers observed a vehicle with four occupants that had been shot. The driver and the passenger in the front seat had been shot (male and female) The male driver identified as Jeremiah Woods later died as a result of his injuries. The front passenger, Sherri Davis survived her injuries and the other two rear passengers were not shot. HOMICIDE: Ra'Monte Ty'Rik-Lyquez Pagan
Over two years ago, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at approximately 10:57 a.m., Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Emergency Personnel were dispatched to a cardiac arrest in the 100 block of Franklin Drive. Deputies arrived on the scene, locating a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim identified as Ra'Monte Pagan was pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives with the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and began an investigation. HOMICIDE: Brittany Lynn Locklear
On the morning of Wednesday, January 7, 1998 as she stood waiting for the school bus to pick her up, 5-year-old Brittany Locklear was abducted from outside her home on Gainey Road in Hoke County. After an intensive search, her body was located the following day in a drainage ditch next to a farm road approximately three miles from where Brittany was last seen alive. Physical evidence from both the abduction site and the body recovery site was sent to the SBI Laboratory for processing. One focus of the investigation was the description of the vehicle driven by the suspect. After reviewing the information received and re-interviewing witnesses, investigators believe the offender was driving a full-size pick-up truck of unknown color. HOMICIDE: DeAndre "Papa" Ricketts
$20,000 REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO ARREST! DeAndre “Papa” Ricketts was just 16 when he was shot and killed at a birthday party on Sunday, October 13, 2013. Gunfire erupted around 2 a.m. at the 800 block of South Bethel Road in Raeford, NC. Hoke County Authorities stated Ricketts was shot to death; no one else was wounded. No arrests have been made at this time and the murder investigation is still ongoing. More than 100 young people were reported at the party.
