Civil Division

The Hoke County Sheriff's Office Civil Division is responsible for the service of civil papers in the County of Hoke. By North Carolina Law, the Hoke County Sheriff's office has a duty to serve civil processes to the citizens of Hoke County in a timely fashion. The status of service may be checked by calling the Hoke County Sheriff's Office during normal business hours. Please be prepared to provide the docket number and/or the name and address of where service is being attempted.

  • Please allow plenty of time to make service.
  • There is a $30.00 fee per defendant/person to be served.
  • A self-addressed, stamped envelope is required for return of service.
  • Please mail the appropriate number of copies to the civil division (see address at right). 

Child Support Enforcement

The Child Support Enforcement Unit is a specialized unit of the Hoke County Sheriff's Office Civil Division. This unit was created by a contractual agreement between the Department of Health and Human Services Division of the North Carolina Department of Social Services, the Hoke County Board of Commissioners, and the Sheriff of Hoke County.

The Child Support Enforcement Unit serves all legal papers initiated by the Child Support Enforcement Agency; including contempt orders and arrest papers.
